After about 6 to 9 weeks, I started to grow my back legs and I started to eat larger items like dead insects and even plants. As my tail shrank, I used it as food. Bet you wouldn't like to do that!!

After 9 weeks I had also grown my front legs and soon I had no tail left. During this time, I changed from breathing with gills to breathing with lungs, just like you do. I left the pond but I still prefer moist regions. Although I breathe air, I can stay under water for long periods of time. Some frogs like living in trees. Others live in the water all the time and have fully webbed toes. Still others spend most of their lives in underground burrows, emerging only to feed or breathe. All different aren't we??
